Here is Dan's review on the Turbine

Yep... works a treat  I've got one on demo in the shop that we've been using, so I'll give you my 2p on it. Lots of pull as you'd expect for a 17m, but doesn't sit deep & drag you downwind, burning out your leg like an old 20m C kite. Goes upwind better than 2010 Zephyr - we've just opened an Ozone account so we will have the current Zephyr on demo soon for a true back to back. 



Pulls nice & consistently out of the turns & flies up well from the bottom of the window even when its very light. A gentle sine of the kite gives a decent surge of power, but its happiest on the edge of the window hauling you upwind. Quick enough for sent boosts & gives real float - timing is a bit different on a 17, but once you get it sorted  



Bar pressure has two settings, the lighter setting is nicer on the race boards as there's less load on your arms & you can concentrate on what the board is doing. The heavier setting gives more feedback for playing about on the twin tip - this setting isnt that heavy though, feels about the same as the medium setting on my rally. Bar 'feel' is less direct than the rally as there is a pulley on the wing tip, but it does mean the kite turns without caning your elbows by the end of a session & bar pressure doesn't increase much with load on the kite - its easy to forget its a 17m. Relaunch is simples - it looks like a big Rally & relaunch is just as easy.

Bar & lines are the 'comp stick' set you see on slingys other kites. Bar is 23" wide & lines are 27m. Top notch stuff. Build on this kite is pretty standard for slingshot, as good as it gets really. They don't seem to have gone to any great lengths to make it from unobtanium, that only lasts for 100 hours of use or anything. It has all the same kevlar/dacron etc etc that you find on the rally. The 3 strut design is light weight anyway, so durability doesn't seem to have been compromised anywhere. 

Wind range for me realistically (75kg on a Juice 132x42 - thats a fairly efficient TT with 5cm fins) is about 8-16knots. That's going upwind easily in 10 knot conditions.... I have also been on it when the wind has come up to 18 knots (on the wind meter in the shop) & whilst I could pin it down, it was heavily depowered & the experience was less than fun. My colleague Rob (same weight as me) has been out on the Sector 60 when the windy meter has been reading all of 6 knots. We were sure the kite would fall out of the sky & hit the water before he even got going & that would be it, but he made it across the beach, stepped up on the board & set off upwind! Gybing required a down loop to keep a bit of line tension, but as soon as you edge the apparent wind builds up & off you go  We have a couple of heavier guys at the beach who are making great use of the Turbine in a bit more wind & loving it.
