The Shift System is Naish’s new 5th line design that enhances performance, adds safety for all riders, increases depower range, is easy to use, and has outstanding water launchability.

Shift 5th Line Safety:

The Shift System is a revolutionary new way for riders to instantly release themselves from the power of the kite, and stay out of danger.  The Shift offers complete de-power safety when activating the QRTL and letting go of the bar. The Shift center line attaches the leading edge of the kite to the rider’s harness, so learning technical and power moves has never been easier or safer.

Shift Water Launching: 

The Shift System relaunches the kite in seconds with a quick pull on the Shift center line. The kite rolls over on its back, and moves quickly into the relaunch position. No longer is swimming downwind to relaunch the kite required.  Whether you ride hooked in, or unhooked, you can now ride with a safety leash system ALL the time. It is completely out of the way, which is ideal for doing extreme maneuvers such as handle passes & technical power moves.

Shift Performance:

FASTER TURNING: The addition of a line from the center of the leading edge stabilizes the arc of the kite increasing performance and allowing the kite to pivot turn with very little pull on the bar.

GREATER RANGE: If you feel yourself getting over powered while riding, just grab the Shift Center line and smile as you feel the power decrease as the kite moves closer to the edge of the power window.

STREAMLINED: Every effort has been made to minimize clutter and maximize safety options for the rider.
